5 Top Rumor for 2013

In 2013, there are probably more rumor’s in gadget world then in any other earth cracking or disaster’s. We have survived the Dec 21 trauma, and now we are ready to take some more. Gadgets are preferably the most easy targets to get caught in rumor’s as photo editing has become more and more easy and effective.

On any social network you would probably see photo manipulations on your timeline. Here in this post we have collected 5 best and top of the top rumor’s for 2013 all related to gadgets. I hope to see more rumor’s in line for this year as it proceeds further.

Amazon Smartphone

Having successfully entered the tablet market with the Kindle Fire, could Amazon’s next product launch be an iPhone-rivalling Kindle phone? “Anonymous sources” say so, and suggest the Android-modified handset could be bundled with a 4G data package to add extra value.

Apple TV set

iTV or iPanel

Rumours suggest that Apple will launch a dedicated TV set in the first half of 2013. Possibly called the iScreen or iPanel (it already has a set-top box called Apple TV), this could offer streaming TV, film and games services; have built-in Siri and FaceTime; and be controlled using your iPhone or iPad.

Google mobile network

Google mobile network

The Wall Street Journal says talks are “well on the way” for Google and the US satellite company Dish to team up on a 4G wireless broadband service. The success of Android phones and tablets makes this a logical step, but could we see a Google-branded high-speed mobile network launch over here?

SkyDrive Music Player

SkyDrive Music Player

Microsoft may add a cloud music player to its online storage service, SkyDrive. As with Amazon and Google, the player will scan and match tracks you already have, as well as letting you play songs you buy from the Xbox Music Store.

iPlayer Playlister

The BBC is allegedly working on music version of the iPlayer, which would let you stream thousands of songs from its archives to your PC, TV or mobile device for free. The service could be help up by licensing issues and potential objections from the likes of iTunes, but it sounds like a top idea to us!
will make another good post on it in upcoming posts.

10 Best Free Software Downloads for Feb 2013

With 2013, the software market is booming like anything, every day, every hour there is something coming new and due to the immense competition the quality of products has been increased considerably.

We make an extra effort now and then to make a list of best software launched or revamped in previous months, this time we have collected ten best free software for feb 2013. Let us know which of the following free software gives you a piece of mind while using it. With great interfaces and marvellous typography these software have made me say wow.

1. Bitdefender 60 Second Virus Scanner – Anti-Virus Tool :

Min requirements Windows XP/Vista/7/8 File size : 156KB (installer)
The problem with a lot of anti-virus programs is that they take ages to scan your system and often hog important resources, making it difficult to use your computer for other tasks. As you can probably guess from the name, Bitdefender’s 60-Second Virus Scanner is different. It’s light, super-fast and, while it certainly won’t replace your existing security software, it’s handy to have as a second line of defence.
The interface is a simple widget that sits on your Desktop and can be repositioned or shrunk down to the System Tray. To run a scan simply click the magnifying glass in the centre of the widget and watch the timer as it counts down the brief scanning time.
While the first scan does indeed take just 60 seconds to complete, subsequent checks are considerably faster. On our test PC, the average time after five scans was just 26.3 seconds. Fifteen scans later, the time had dropped to 17.1 sec. The scan is so fast because it’s carried out in the cloud, which means the data is analysed online and only checks a few critical system areas. According to the report it generates, 60-Second Virus Scanner targets around 30 or so processes and just over 1000 files. The program settings let you change the scan frequency (this can be daily, weekly or monthly); Choose if you want the scanner to start alongside Windows; and turn real-time scanning on or off.

2. Collapse, Collide – Game

Min requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7/8
Collapse, Collide is a short, experimental platform game that uses some stylish pixel art. You control a character who can cling to walls and jump when falling – two tricks that prove very helpful for getting you through the levels. There are secret areas to discover, and a hard mode that does away with checkpoints to make the game more challenging.

3. SoftPerfect WiFi Guard - Wifi Scanner

Min requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7/8, Mac OS X or Linux
If you suspect someone may be accessing your Wi-Fi without your permission, this free tool can find out. It will scan your network and present you with a list of connected devices, telling you when they were last active, and flashing up a warning if it detects any unrecognised ones. If you know a device is safe, you can tell Wi-Fi Guard and it won’t warn you about it again. The program can scan your network automatically at predetermined intervals.

4. UndeleteMyFiles Pro 3.1 – Data Recovery Tool

Min requlrements: Windows XP/Vista/7/8 Flle size: 1.3MB
SeriousBit usually charges money for the full versions of its Windows programs, but it has released the latest version of UndeleteMyFiles Pro for free. The rescue and recovery tools are very easy to use and do a good job of finding and restoring any accidentally deleted files.

Antivirus Software That Won’t Slow Down the PC

Choosing the least memory intensive antivirus solution is not an easy task, especially when there are a lot of options in the market, all promising protection at the highest levels with no compromises made towards computer speed. From my own experience, and from those of others, I’ve learned that only some products care about computer resources when implementing defensive solutions.

Although some big names in the industry have managed to create powerful products, that keep the system far away from any attacker, we’ve seen that in some cases the power needed to protect the computer disrupts the navigation experience, which is undesirable, at the least. So, today, we are about to venture and discover the most appropriate antivirus solutions that consume small hardware resources and manage not to slow the computer, at least distinctively.

Antivirus software with low resource footprints

ESET

Before presenting the options, you must first be aware of some key aspects and basic elements. An antivirus relies on hardware, like any other software installed on a computer, to run and on other elements to process the information. The complexity and the level of the antivirus, describes how much resources it needs to run all of its algorithm.
On the other hand, good developers can optimize the software to consume fewer resources than others, thus drastically downsizing memory requirements and processor load.

Avast (Free & Pro)

avast
Avast scored great in our quest for finding the best free antivirus for 2012, and one of the top reasons for the high score was its low resource usage while protecting the PC. You get top notch protection on your computer, emails, downloads and IMs. And its powerful heuristics engine allows it to find almost every virus around. All these without hogging down your PC.

Microsoft Security Essentials (Free)

security
Microsoft has strongly ramped up their security game and have improved the Security Essentials software over the past few years. It’s effective, incredibly easy to use, free to download and is perfectly integrated with Windows operating system. This helps a great deal in reducing its memory footprint. For someone looking for a basic security suite, MSE is an ideal candidate.

PC Tools AntiVirus v9.1 (free)

PC Tools AntiVirus 9.1 is the latest protection tool by a company partnering with Symantec and known for its defensive solutions. The software is capable of protecting the PC against usual viruses, worms and Trojans, using a rapid updating system and a real-time scan known as IntelliGuard. The PC Tools solution also comes with an advanced functionality tool that allows scanning and removing boot sector viruses. Also, from what we’ve seen until now, it’s one of the lightest protection solution on the market. It only requires a computer with 256 MB of RAM to function, and a processor with just 300 MHz.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013

kis-2013

Surprised? Don’t be. Kaspersky is one of the toughest names on the market. After being a satisfied customer for the past two years, I consider Kaspersky as the Rambo of all security tools: merciless with its enemies. Kaspersky, in general, is able to remove some Windows-files if requested by the user and gets very angry when you try to shut down protection for good, if you don’t know how to do it properly.

Specifically, Anti-Virus 2013 can be considered as a first level defense and a lighter version of more advanced tools, such as Internet Security or Pure. But, without question, is a good tool to have and one that treats computer resources nicely, without burdening and slowing the system down.

Above all presented, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 is optimized to have a low impact on network activity and other processes overall, like installing new programs, launching web browsers and others. In addition, the solution comes with a Gaming mode that will surely prove helpful.

Other worthy variants

There are also other names that worth taking a look at. The following list has been ordered by resource optimization, with the top names being the most friendly:
  • Norton Antivirus 2013 – one of the most popular antivirus software. It has improved loads in terms of low memory footprint in recent years.
  • Eset Nod 32 – Another popular security suite with low memory footprint.
  • Spyware Terminator 2012: coming in two versions, one free and one paid, the Terminator is a light defensive solution which will protect you against usual threats.
  • BitDefender Internet Security 2013: one of the best solutions I’ve experienced in a while, BIS 2013 is a highly advanced protection tool that protects the computer pretty much against any known threats
